Hyundai IONIQ 5: Top Gear’s N-Line Test Drive

Top Gear recently got to test drive the New IONIQ 5 N. They break down everything from all the different speed modes to the Custom Engine sounds. They even drag race the IONIQ 5 N with a Honda Civic Type R.

When You Wish Upon A Star - Hyundai and Disney’s Custom IONIQ 5✨🌟

We originally covered the IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept Car back in April’s newsletter, and many of you replied craving an update.

Hyundai just revealed on a special Disney100 episode of Dancing With The Stars that the Concept car is making its way into production.

But, this is only a limited production run of 1,000 IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition vehicles. It will be available early 2024.

The Hyundai IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Edition Features include the following:

• Gravity Gold Matte exterior color

• Disney-Inspired wheel styles

• Disney100 Platinum exterior badging

• Disney100 logo embossed on front seat headrests and center console

• DIsney100 logo on the floormats

• Disney-inspired front and rear door trim strip

• Disney-themed intro on the interior screen upon turning the car on which features iconic Disney music, the Disney100 logo, and Pixie Dust

Hyundai & Genesis Join Forces with Tesla: Doubling EV Charging Choices by Q1 2025!

Hyundai and Genesis this month announced they will be adopting the North American Charging Standard (NACS) ports for their electric vehicles (EVs) in the U.S. starting in Q4 2024 and in Canada by Q1 2025.

This will allow Hyundai EVs with NACS ports to access over 12,000 Tesla Superchargers, effectively doubling the DC fast charging network. This collaboration enhances the charging experience for Hyundai EV owners and aligns with plans to create a high-powered charging network with at least 30,000 stations across North America.

Hyundai will also grant access to the Tesla Supercharging Network to owners of existing and future EVs with the current CCS standard, starting in Q1 2025, and provide adapters for compatibility. Additionally, Hyundai is partnering with global automakers to establish a high-powered North American charging network, with the first stations opening in the U.S. in the summer of 2024 and later in Canada.

This month the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has announced that the 2024 Genesis G80 and Electrified G80 have received the esteemed TOP SAFETY PICK+ designation. This distinction underscores the unwavering commitment to safety within the Genesis brand, with these executive sedans now joining their SUV counterparts in the roster of top safety achievers.

To qualify for the IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ in 2023, vehicles must excel in several crucial aspects which are:

• Have good ratings in specific crash tests

• Feature good headlights across all trims

• Have advanced front crash prevention systems that perform in both night and day

The G80 and Electrified G80 have not only met but exceeded these rigorous criteria. This recognition underscores the dedication to integrating a comprehensive suite of advanced safety technologies, including Forward Collision Avoidance-Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Keeping Assist, Blind-Spot Collision Warning, and more. These features are designed to both prevent accidents and enhance occupant protection when accidents do occur, ultimately resulting in the 2024 Genesis G80 and Electrified G80 earning the prestigious IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ accolade.
