What is your favorite feature of the IONIQ 5 Disney100 Platinum Concept Car? |
Hyundai IONIQ 6 Earns Multiple Industry Awards 🏆
The Disney100 IONIQ 5 wasn’t the only Hyundai highlight at the New York International Auto Show this year. For 2023, the IONIQ 6 continued the streak for the same three awards that the IONIQ 5 won last year:
2023 World Car of the Year
2023 World Electric Vehicle
2023 World Design of the Year
It's a triple win for IONIQ 6 at the 2023 World Car Awards, sweeping away 'World Car of the Year', 'World Electric Vehicle' and 'World Car Design of the Year'!

The IONIQ 6 SE RWD features a 361-mile All-Electric Range and 225hp, while the Dual Motor AWD has a 316-mile range and 320hp. But my favorite feature is the ultra-fast charging that can take you from 10% to 80% charge in just 18 minutes.
Looking forward I am sure Hyundai is already planning out their next triple threat to take the win for 2024, and I am on the edge of my seat to see what they come up with next.
When are you planning to go All-Electric |

The TCR World Tour is an upcoming international racing event that will consist of nine events throughout the world and will have many car brands competing against one another to see who can come out on top. This month Hyundai is kicking off the TCR World Tour in Portugal with drivers Mikel Azcona and Norbert Michelisz. These guys are excited to be back together since they were the same combo that won the WTCR title double in 2022. They also gave their personal statements on how they feel about the new setup and the upcoming races.
“I’m really happy to continue with Hyundai Motorsport Customer Racing and BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse for a second season. When I joined the team for 2022 it was a great opportunity, and now we have another one with the beginning of the TCR World Tour. Last year we proved that me, Norbert and the team worked very well together when we won both titles and I think we are only stronger at the start of this season with Hyundai Elantra N TCR. With the preparation done, I think we have a great chance to race of the titles again and add to the success we had last year.”
Elantra N TCR
“As the first season of TCR World Tour this year is really exciting. A lot of things are changing and in good ways. We know that Mikel and I are very strong, and we know that the Hyundai Elantra N TCR is a great car. However, there are lots of questions which we will only find the answer to when we start racing in Portugal. All of these unknowns – the new tracks, the new tyres, racing with teams in the regional TCR series – mean that the driver who will win the title will be the one who adapts to these things the fastest. I can’t wait!”
The Dates for the upcoming races are as follows:
April 28th - 30th - Portimão, Portugal
May 26th - 28th - Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium
June 9th - 11th - Vallelunga, Italy
June 16th - 18th - Hungaroring, Hungary
August 18th - 20th - El Pinar, Uruguay
August 25th - 27th - San Luis, Argentina
November 3rd - 5th - Bathurst, Australia
November 17th - 19th - Macau, China
There is a lot of promise for these two in the near future so stay tuned to hear the latest on the TCR World Tour.
Hyundai Announces Their Future EV Plans ⚡🚙
Hyundai is already one of the largest competitors in the electric vehicle landscape and they don’t plan on stopping that any time soon. With their latest announcement saying they have plans to be in the Top 3 by 2030.
I think we are lost…
To meet this ever-growing shift into electric vehicles Hyundai is making it their mission to have 31 total vehicles apart of the EV line by 2030. while this may seem ambitious now, Hyundai deems this as the wave of the future that everyone will want to be a part of. They want to have a total global volume of 3.64 million units by the time 2030 arrives and to do so they plan on investing a total of $18 billion in the EV sector domestically.
(Slaps Roof) You can fit so many cars in this baby…
All this extra funding development will be accelerated to further the next generation of upgrades for your lineup of EVs. One of the first cars from Hyundai apart of that total 31 will be the Hyundai Ioniq 7 coming to us in 2024. Stay tuned for more from the Hyundai EV sector and how it will shape the world to come.
Happy Belated Earth Day btw (April 22)So these are the people I learned about in school…
