2024 Hyundai Kona First Look: The EV Car We Need
The 2024 Hyundai Kona EV is beginning to roll out into the open with a full public display happening in April. Even though we still have some time till it is fully released, we can take a moment to admire it from a distance. Beginning with its new lighting design.
Can’t lose anything in the dark now.
With a new generation comes new opportunities to improve, and Hyundai took this chance to give us a new Seamless Horizon Lamp which on the EV model is LED powered, but they couldn’t just update the outside so that’s why they added not one but two 12.3-inch touchscreens for the Driver Display and infotainment functions to the inside. Speaking of lighting, the Kona also comes with added interior lighting that looks like it’s straight out of the future with a hue that lets you match the color to your mood. We have already seen Hyundai display that the ambient lighting can be changed from car to car. Personally, I am gonna make mine blue like everything else in my life.
New Car Who Dis?
What is really impressive is that the size of the Kona EV for 2024 may be increasing by about 6 inches but the miles you will get per charge will still come out to about 258 miles. This was pulled off by the sleek new design that allows for better airflow over the entire vehicle and cranks out those last few miles to maximize the distance between charges. The horsepower should increase a bit as well given that the Motor is fronted mounted and the battery is a little bigger at 65.4-kWh. With this car still a year out from launch there will be more news drops for the Kona EV 2024 coming soon.
How Futuristic Do You Think The Interior Looks? |
We will find a way to survive till the Kona EV comes our way.
24 Hours at Nürburgring 👀
After building up the N performance line and honing the team, Hyundai is prepping for a 24-hour battle against their European counterparts. Hyundai is entering an Elantra N TCR with a driver lineup currently set to include Taylor Hagler, Mason Filippi, Harry Gottsacker, and Micheal Lewis. Qualifying trials will be held on April 21-22nd and the 24 hours of Nürburgring will kick off on May 18.

Each driver is preparing for the intense training schedule leading up to the race as Hyundai gears up to send our champs to represent.
“We will have the opportunity to sample a wide range of the race-prepared versions of the N vehicles as we work to qualify for the race”
Stages Of Hyundai Sport
Hyundai Motor Company has teamed up with renowned designer Jeremy Scott to launch 'Re:Style 2023', the fourth edition of its eco-friendly fashion platform. The initiative repurposes automotive waste into stylish fashion items, and this year's collection features an haute couture line made from discarded materials from Hyundai's electric vehicles, as well as deadstock fabrics. The collection aims to break stereotypes of sustainable design and will be showcased at the AP Again in Seongsu-dong for three weeks, starting on March 23.
The exhibition space is designed with a parametric pixel motif, which is a symbol of Hyundai's electric vehicle lineup. This pixel motif is tied to Hyundai’s latest push toward the electric vehicle market, and how it ties into the future design of vehicles such as the new Kona EV 2024.
Buckled up in the latest fashions.
This dress collection is currently on display in Korea through April 13th and will be a site to behold. Although it may be hard to actually get in and see it in person since the dresses are currently being held at a private gala with its first public viewing having happened on the 23rd of this month.
